1 A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day. 2 to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
3 with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre. to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
4 For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5 How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts! How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep! How great are your works, LORD, how profound your thoughts!
6 A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand, The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this: Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked sprout like grass, and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever; that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
8 But You, O LORD, are exalted forever! but you, O LORD, are on high forever. But you, LORD, are forever exalted.
9 For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. For behold, your enemies, O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered. For surely your enemies, LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
10 But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; with fine oil I have been anointed. But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil. You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.
11 My eyes see the downfall of my enemies; my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes. My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
