1 For the choirmaster. A song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth! Shout for joy to God, all the earth; For the director of music. A song. A psalm. Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds! So great is Your power that Your enemies cower before You. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to You; they sing praise to You; they sing praise to Your name.” Selah All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.”
5 Come and see the works of God; how awesome are His deeds toward mankind. Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man. Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!
6 He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the waters on foot; there we rejoiced in Him. He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. 7 He rules forever by His power; His eyes watch the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. 10 For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us like silver. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
11 You led us into the net; You laid burdens on our backs. You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us into abundance. you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance. 13 I will enter Your house with burnt offerings; I will fulfill my vows to You— I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you, I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you—
14 the vows that my lips promised and my mouth spoke in my distress. that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble. vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer You fatlings as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. 16 Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for me. Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to Him with my mouth and praised Him with my tongue. I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
19 But God has surely heard; He has attended to the sound of my prayer. But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld from me His loving devotion! Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me! Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
