THE God of gods, the LORD, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof. The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. A psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence; a fire shall consume before him, and it shall flame round about him greatly. Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest. Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
He shall call to the heavens from above and to the earth, that he may judge his people. He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people: He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:
Gather unto him, O you, his saints, those that have made a covenant with him by sacrifice. “Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!” “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God himself is judge. The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak to you; O Israel, I will testify to thee: I am God, even your God. “Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God. “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God.
I reproved you not for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings; they are continually before me. Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
I will take no bullocks out of your house nor he-goats out of your folds. I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,
For all the beasts of the forest are mine, and the cattle and the oxen upon the hills. For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the fowls of the air; and the wild beasts of the desert are mine. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.
If I were hungry, I should not tell you; for the world is mine and the fulness thereof. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
I eat not the flesh of bulls, neither do I drink the blood of goats. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; and fulfil your vows to the most High. Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,
Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will strengthen you, and you shall glorify me. and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
But to the sinner, God says, How have you followed the books of my law? You have observed my covenant lightly, But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips? But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
Seeing that you hate my instruction and cast my words behind you. For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you. You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.
When you saw a thief, you joined with him, and you have been a partaker with adulterers. If you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you keep company with adulterers. When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
You have given your mouth to evil and your tongue speaks deceit. “You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son.
All of these things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was wicked like you; but I will reprove you, and correct these sins before your eyes. These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you. When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.
Now understand this, O you who forget God, lest you be crushed and there be none to deliver. “Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
Whosoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me; and to him will I show the way of the salvation of our God. The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
