1	A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom. LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!	A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O LORD, how my foes have increased! How many rise up against me!	O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;
2	Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.”	Many say of me, “God will not deliver him.” Selah	many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah
3	But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.	But You, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.	But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
4	I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.	To the LORD I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah	I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
5	I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.	I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.	I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.
6	I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.	I will not fear the myriads set against me on every side.	I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
7	Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.	Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.	Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
8	From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.	Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people. Selah	Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah
