A Psalm of David. O LORD, hear my prayer. In Your faithfulness, give ear to my plea; in Your righteousness, answer me. Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! A psalm of David. LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous before You. Enter not into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you. Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.
For the enemy has pursued my soul, crushing my life to the ground, making me dwell in darkness like those long since dead. For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me sit in darkness like those long dead. The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in the darkness like those long dead.
My spirit grows faint within me; my heart is dismayed inside me. Therefore my spirit faints within me; my heart within me is appalled. So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I consider the work of Your hands. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands. I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
I stretch out my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You like a parched land. Selah I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land.
Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide Your face from me, or I will be like those who descend to the Pit. Answer me quickly, O LORD! My spirit fails! Hide not your face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the pit. Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let me hear Your loving devotion in the morning, for I have put my trust in You. Teach me the way I should walk, for to You I lift up my soul. Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD; I flee to You for refuge. Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD! I have fled to you for refuge. Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you.
Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness, bring my soul out of trouble. For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life! In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble! For your name’s sake, LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
And in Your loving devotion, cut off my enemies. Destroy all who afflict me, for I am Your servant. And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies, and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul, for I am your servant. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
