Hear, O Lord, my prayer: give ear to my supplication in thy truth: hear me in thy justice. Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! A psalm of David. LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight no man living shall be justified. Enter not into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you. Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath brought down my life to the earth. He hath made me to dwell in darkness as those that have been dead of old: For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me sit in darkness like those long dead. The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in the darkness like those long dead.
and my spirit is in anguish within me: my heart within me is troubled. Therefore my spirit faints within me; my heart within me is appalled. So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
I remembered the days of old, I meditated on all thy works: I meditated upon the works of thy hands. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands. I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
I stretched forth my hands to thee: my soul is as earth without water unto thee. I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land.
Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit hath fainted away. Turn not away thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Answer me quickly, O LORD! My spirit fails! Hide not your face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the pit. Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for in thee have I hoped. Make the way known to me, wherein I should walk: for I have lifted up my soul to thee. Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to thee have I fled: Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD! I have fled to you for refuge. Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you.
teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Thy good spirit shall lead me into the right land: Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
for thy name's sake, O Lord, thou wilt quicken me in thy justice. Thou wilt bring my soul out of trouble: For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life! In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble! For your name’s sake, LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
and in thy mercy thou wilt destroy my enemies. And thou wilt cut off all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant. And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies, and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul, for I am your servant. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
