THE LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
The LORD will send forth the sceptre of his power out of Zion, and he will rule over thine enemies. The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
Thy people shall he glorious in the day of thy power; arrayed in the beauty of holiness from the womb, I have begotten thee as a child from the ages. Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
The LORD has sworn, and will not lie, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
The LORD at your right hand will defeat the kings in the day of his wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
He will judge among the nations, he will count the slain; he will cut off the heads of many on earth. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.
