The Lord said to my Lord: Sit thou at my right hand: Until I make thy enemies thy footstool. The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
The Lord will send forth the sceptre of thy power out of Sion: rule thou in the midst of thy enemies. The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: from the womb before the day star I begot thee. Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech. The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord at thy right hand hath broken kings in the day of his wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
He shall judge among nations, he shall fill ruins: he shall crush the heads in the land of the many. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
He shall drink of the torrent in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.
