A psalm of David. This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.” The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over your surrounding enemies. The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
Your people will volunteer on your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you. Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back: “You are a priest forever according to the pattern of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his anger. The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses; he will crush leaders over the entire world. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore, he will lift up his head. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.
