1 My child, keep my words and treasure up my commands in your own keeping. My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands so that you may live, and obey my instruction as your most prized possession. keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your forearm; write them on the tablet of your heart. bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, |You are my sister,| and call understanding a close relative, Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend, Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.”
5 so that they may keep you from the adulterous woman, from the loose woman who flatters you with her words. to keep you from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words. They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

16 I have spread my bed with elegant coverings, with richly colored fabric from Egypt. I have spread my couch with coverings, colored linens from Egyptian linen; I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt.
