1 My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands. My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and live, and my teaching as the apple of your eye; keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.

4 Say to Wisdom, “You are my sister!” Call Understanding, “Friend!” Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend, Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.”
5 That they may keep you from a stranger, from the foreign woman with her smooth words. to keep you from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words. They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

16 With coverlets I have spread my couch, with brocaded cloths of Egyptian linen; I have spread my couch with coverings, colored linens from Egyptian linen; I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt.
