1	Then the LORD said to Moses,	The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,	The LORD said to Moses:
2	“Make two trumpets of hammered silver to be used for calling the congregation and for having the camps set out.	“Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them for summoning the congregation and for breaking camp.	“Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out.
3	When both are sounded, the whole congregation is to assemble before you at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	And when both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting.	When both are sounded, the whole community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
4	But if only one is sounded, then the leaders, the heads of the clans of Israel, are to gather before you.	But if they blow only one, then the chiefs, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.	If only one is sounded, the leaders—the heads of the clans of Israel—are to assemble before you.
5	When you sound short blasts, the camps that lie on the east side are to set out.	When you blow an alarm, the camps that are on the east side shall set out.	When a trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out.
6	When you sound the short blasts a second time, the camps that lie on the south side are to set out. The blasts are to signal them to set out.	And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out.	At the sounding of a second blast, the camps on the south are to set out. The blast will be the signal for setting out.
7	To convene the assembly, you are to sound long blasts, not short ones.	But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow a long blast, but you shall not sound an alarm.	To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the signal for setting out.
8	The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to sound the trumpets. This shall be a permanent statute for you and the generations to come.	And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations.	“The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come.
9	When you enter into battle in your land against an adversary who attacks you, sound short blasts on the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God and saved from your enemies.	And when you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.	When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies.
10	And on your joyous occasions, your appointed feasts, and the beginning of each month, you are to blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and peace offerings to serve as a reminder for you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”	On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. They shall be a reminder of you before your God: I am the LORD your God.”	Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”

17	Then the tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonites and the Merarites set out, transporting it.	And when the tabernacle was taken down, the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who carried the tabernacle, set out. 20	and Eliasaph son of Deuel was over the division of the tribe of Gad.	And over the company of the tribe of the people of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.	and Eliasaph son of Deuel was over the division of the tribe of Gad.
21	Then the Kohathites set out, transporting the holy objects; the tabernacle was to be set up before their arrival. 25	Finally, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard, serving as the rear guard for all units, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai in command.	Then the standard of the camp of the people of Dan, acting as the rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies, and over their company was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. 30	“I will not go,” Hobab replied. “Instead, I am going back to my own land and my own people.”	But he said to him, “I will not go. I will depart to my own land and to my kindred.”	He answered, “No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people.”
31	“Please do not leave us,” Moses said, “since you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you can serve as our eyes.	And he said, “Please do not leave us, for you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will serve as eyes for us.	But Moses said, “Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.
32	If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us.”	And if you do go with us, whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same will we do to you.”	If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us.”
33	So they set out on a three-day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them.
