1 Now mobilize your troops, O daughter of a troop! A siege he has laid against us; with a rod they will strike on the cheek the judge of Israel. Now muster your troops, O daughter of troops; siege is laid against us; with a rod they strike the judge of Israel on the cheek. Marshal your troops now, city of troops, for a siege is laid against us. They will strike Israel’s ruler on the cheek with a rod.
2 And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the thousands of Judah: From you will come forth unto Me One to be Ruler in Israel, and his goings forth are of old, from everlasting. But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
3 Therefore He will give them up, until the time the one giving birth has given birth; and the remnant of his brothers will return to the sons of Israel. Therefore he shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of his brothers shall return to the people of Israel. Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites.
4 And he will stand and pasture them in the strength of YHWH, in the majesty of the name of YHWH his God; and they will dwell securely, for now he will be great as far as the ends of the earth. 12 And I will cut off sorcery from your hand, and those practicing divination will not be unto you. and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes; I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.

15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and in fury on the nations who would not listen.” And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey. I will take vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that have not obeyed me.”
