7 Jesus responded to him, |It is also written, 'You must not tempt the Lord your God.'| Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Once more the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, along with their splendor.
