The sabbath being over, and the first day of the week beginning to dawn, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, came to see the sepulchre. Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
now there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the lord descending from heaven, was come, and had rolled away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
his aspect was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
for fear of whom the keepers shook, and were almost struck dead. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
but the angel spoke to the woman, and said, don't be frighted, I know you are seeking Jesus, who was crucified. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
he is not here: he is risen according to his word: come, see the place where the Lord was laid. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
then go immediately to tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and that, he goes before you into Galilee, there shall ye see it is him; 'tis I that say it. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
And they instantly left the sepulchre, with fear and joy, and ran to carry his disciples this good news. So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
as they were making the way to his disciples, Jesus himself met them, and said, I salute you, and they came, and embraced his feet, and worshipped him. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
then said Jesus to them, be not afraid: go bid my brethren repair to Galilee, and there shall they see me. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
Now when they were gone, some of the guards went into the city, and informed the chief priests of all that had happened. While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
and when they were assembled with the senators, and had consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, thus instructing them; And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,
do you say "his disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. and said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’
if this come to the governor's ears, we will appease him, and secure you." And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
so they took the money, and did as they were directed: and this report is still current among the Jews at this day. So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day. So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
In the mean time the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
and when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
and Jesus came, and said to them, all power has been given me in heaven and in earth. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
go and instruct all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy ghost: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe every thing which I have enjoin'd you: and be assured I shall be always with you to the end of the world. teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
