6 ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ πηγὴ τοῦ Ἰακώβ οὖν Ἰησοῦς κεκοπιακὼς ἐκ τῆς ὁδοιπορίας ἐκαθέζετο οὕτως ἐπὶ τῇ πηγῇ ὥρα ἦν ὡς ἕκτη Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7 Ἔρχεται γυνὴ ἐκ τῆς Σαμαρείας ἀντλῆσαι ὕδωρ λέγει αὐτῇ Ἰησοῦς Δός μοι πεῖν A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
