5 Ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦν τὸν Ναζωραῖον Λέγει αὐτοῖς Ἐγώ εἰμι Εἱστήκει δὲ καὶ Ἰούδας ὁ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν μετ’ αὐτῶν They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)
6 ὡς οὖν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐγώ εἰμι ἀπῆλθον* εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ ἔπεσαν χαμαί When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
