1 After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
2 For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
3 And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
4 I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
5 Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
6 “I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word. “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.
7 Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you, Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.
8 for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.
9 “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
10 All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
11 Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.
12 During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 “Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
18 Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
19 And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,
21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—
23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24 Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 “O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.
26 I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
