1 Πρὸ δὲ τῆς ἑορτῆς τοῦ πάσχα εἰδὼς Ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἦλθεν αὐτοῦ ὥρα ἵνα μεταβῇ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου πρὸς τὸν Πατέρα ἀγαπήσας τοὺς ἰδίους τοὺς ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ εἰς τέλος ἠγάπησεν αὐτούς Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 καὶ δείπνου γινομένου τοῦ διαβόλου ἤδη βεβληκότος εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ἵνα παραδοῖ αὐτὸν Ἰούδας Σίμωνος Ἰσκαριώτου During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.
