1 For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of the Messiah Jesus for the sake of you gentiles. For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
2 Surely you have heard about the responsibility of administering God's grace that was given to me on your behalf, assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3 and how this secret was made known to me through a revelation, just as I wrote about briefly in the past. how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4 By reading this, you will be able to grasp my understanding of the secret about the Messiah, When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5 which in previous generations was not made known to human beings as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. 6 The gentiles are heirs-in-common, members-in-common of the body, and common participants in what was promised by the Messiah Jesus through the gospel. This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 I have become a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God's grace that was given me by the working of his power. Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.
8 To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given so that I might proclaim to the gentiles the immeasurable wealth of the Messiah To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
9 and help everyone see how this secret that has been at work was hidden for ages by God, who created all things. and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10 He did this so that now, through the church, the wisdom of God in all its variety might be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 in keeping with the eternal purpose that God carried out through the Messiah Jesus our Lord, This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through his faithfulness. in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
13 So then, I ask you not to become discouraged because of my troubles on your behalf, which work toward your glory. So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
14 This is the reason I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, For this reason I kneel before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its name. from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
16 I pray that he would give you, according to his glorious riches, strength in your inner being and power through his Spirit, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
17 and that the Messiah would make his home in your hearts through faith. Then, having been rooted and grounded in love, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
18 you will be able to understand, along with all the saints, what is wide, long, high, and deep— may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
19 that is, you will know the love of the Messiah — which transcends knowledge, and will be filled with all the fullness of God. and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us— Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
21 to him be glory in the church and in the Messiah Jesus to all generations, forever and ever! Amen. to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
