27	וַיְהִי֩ כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ אַחְאָ֜ב אֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ וַיִּקְרַ֣ע בְּגָדָ֔יו וַיָּֽשֶׂם־ שַׂ֥ק עַל־ בְּשָׂר֖וֹ וַיָּצ֑וֹם וַיִּשְׁכַּ֣ב בַּשָּׂ֔ק וַיְהַלֵּ֖ךְ אַֽט׃ ס	And when Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay in sackcloth and went about dejectedly.	When Ahab heard these words, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and fasted. He lay in sackcloth and went around meekly.
28	וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־ אֵלִיָּ֥הוּ הַתִּשְׁבִּ֖י לֵאמֹֽר׃	And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,	Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite:
29	הֲ‍ֽרָאִ֔יתָ כִּֽי־ נִכְנַ֥ע אַחְאָ֖ב מִלְּפָנָ֑י יַ֜עַן כִּֽי־ נִכְנַ֣ע מִפָּנַ֗י לֹֽא־ [אבי] (אָבִ֤יא) הָֽרָעָה֙ בְּיָמָ֔יו בִּימֵ֣י בְנ֔וֹ אָבִ֥יא הָרָעָ֖ה עַל־ בֵּיתֽוֹ׃	“Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon his house.”	“Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself, I will not bring this disaster in his day, but I will bring it on his house in the days of his son.”
