NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
I come to you for protection, O LORD my God. Save me from my persecutors—rescue me!1A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God, I take refuge in You; save me and deliver me from all my pursuers,
If you don’t, they will maul me like a lion, tearing me to pieces with no one to rescue me.2or they will shred my soul like a lion and tear me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
O LORD my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice,3O LORD my God, if I have done this, if injustice is on my hands,
if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause,4if I have rewarded my ally with evil, if I have plundered my foe without cause,
then let my enemies capture me. Let them trample me into the ground and drag my honor in the dust. Interlude5then may my enemy pursue me and overtake me; may he trample me to the ground and leave my honor in the dust. Selah
Arise, O LORD, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice!6Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; rise up against the fury of my enemies. Awake, my God, and ordain judgment.
Gather the nations before you. Rule over them from on high.7Let the assembled peoples gather around You; take Your seat over them on high.
The LORD judges the nations. Declare me righteous, O LORD, for I am innocent, O Most High!8The LORD judges the peoples; vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and integrity.
End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God.9Put an end to the evil of the wicked, but establish the righteous, O righteous God who searches hearts and minds.
God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right.10My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.11God is a righteous judge and a God who feels indignation each day.
If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow.12If one does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; He has bent and strung His bow.
He will prepare his deadly weapons and shoot his flaming arrows.13He has prepared His deadly weapons; He ordains His arrows with fire.
The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies.14Behold, the wicked man travails with evil; he conceives trouble and births falsehood.
They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves.15He has dug a hole and hollowed it out; he has fallen into a pit of his own making.
The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads.16His trouble recoils on himself, and his violence falls on his own head.
I will thank the LORD because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.17I will thank the LORD for His righteousness and sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
