Psalm 101
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
1A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.1I will sing of your love and justice, LORD. I will praise you with songs.
2I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.2I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.
3I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.3I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.
4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.4I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.
5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.5I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.
6My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.6I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
7He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.7I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.
8Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD.8My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip.
