New King James VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.1For the choir director: according to Jeduthun. A Davidic psalm. I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken.
How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.3How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering stone fence?
They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly. Selah4They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.5Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.7My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah8Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah
Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor.9Men are only a vapor; exalted men, an illusion. Weighed in the scales, they go up; together they are less than a vapor.
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.10Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, pay no attention to it.
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.11God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God,
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.12and faithful love belongs to You, LORD. For You repay each according to his works.
