1This is the written account of Adam's family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. | 1This is the written account of the descendants of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them to be like himself. |

3When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. | 3When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who was just like him—in his very image. He named his son Seth. |
