Psalm 61
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
1To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.1O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!
2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.4Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.5For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.
6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.6Add many years to the life of the king! May his years span the generations!
7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.7May he reign under God’s protection forever. May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.8Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.
