Psalm 120
KJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNET Bible
1A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried out to the LORD and he answered me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.2I said, "O LORD, rescue me from those who lie with their lips and those who deceive with their tongue.
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?3How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.4Here's how! With the sharp arrows of warriors, with arrowheads forged over the hot coals.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!5How miserable I am! For I have lived temporarily in Meshech; I have resided among the tents of Kedar.
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.6For too long I have had to reside with those who hate peace.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.7I am committed to peace, but when I speak, they want to make war.
