Psalm 14
ISV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionEnglish Standard Version
1Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good.1The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.
2The LORD looks down from the heavens upon humanity to see if anyone shows discernment as he searches for God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
3All have turned away, together they have become corrupt; no one practices what is good, not even one.3They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.
4Will those who do evil ever learn? They devour my people like they devour bread, and never call on the LORD.4Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?
5There they are seized with terror, because God is with those who are righteous.5There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
6You would frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD is their refuge.6You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.
7May Israel's deliverance come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will be glad. 7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
