Galatians 6
ISV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
International Standard VersionEnglish Standard Version
Brothers, if a person is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should restore that person gently. Watch out for yourself so that you are not tempted as well. 1Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
Practice carrying each other's burdens. In this way you will fulfill the law of the Messiah.2Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
For if anyone thinks he is something when he is really nothing, he is only fooling himself. 3For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Each person must examine his own actions, and then he can boast about his own accomplishments and not about someone else. 4But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.
For everyone must carry his own load.5For each will have to bear his own load.
The person who is taught the word should share all his goods with his teacher. 6Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.
Stop being deceived; God is not to be ridiculed. A person harvests whatever he plants: 7Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
The person who sows through human means will harvest decay from human means, but the person who sows in the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. 8For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Let's not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest—if we do not give up. 9And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
So then, whenever we have the opportunity, let's practice doing good to everyone, especially to the family of faith.10So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Look at how large these letters are because I am writing with my own hand! 11See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand.
These people who want to impress others by their external appearance are trying to force you to be circumcised, simply to avoid being persecuted for the cross of the Messiah.12It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Why, not even those who are circumcised obey the Law! They simply want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your external appearance.13For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.
But may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world! 14But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matters. Rather, what matters is being a new creation. 15For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Now may peace be on all those who live by this principle, and may mercy be on the Israel of God. 16And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.
Let no one make any more trouble for me, because I carry the scars of Jesus on my own body.17From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be with your spirit, brothers! Amen.18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
