Psalm 120
ISV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionBerean Study Bible
1I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me.1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.
2"LORD, deliver me from lips that lie and tongues that deceive."2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.
3What will be given to you, and what will be done to you, you treacherous tongue?3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?
4Like a sharp arrow from a warrior, along with fiery coals from juniper trees!4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!
5How terrible for me, that I am an alien in Meshech, that I reside among the tents of Kedar!5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6I have resided too long with those who hate peace.6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they are in favor of war.7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.
