HCSB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew International Version
A psalm of Asaph. God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods:" 1A psalm of Asaph. God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the "gods":
How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 2"How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?
Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. 3Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked." 4Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. 5"The 'gods' know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I said, "You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. 6"I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'
However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler." 7But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler."
Rise up, God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to You. 8Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.
