Holman Christian Standard BibleInternational Standard Version
A psalm of Asaph. God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods:" 1 God takes his stand in the divine assembly; among the divine beings he renders judgment:
How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 2"How long will you judge partially by showing favor on the wicked? Interlude
Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. 3"Defend the poor and the fatherless. Vindicate the afflicted and the poor.
Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked." 4Rescue the poor and the needy, delivering them from the power of the wicked.
They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. 5They neither know nor understand; they walk about in the dark while all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I said, "You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. 6"Indeed I said, 'You are gods, and all of you are sons of the Most High.
However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler." 7However, as all human beings do, you will die, and like other rulers, you will fall.'
Rise up, God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to You. 8Arise, God, to judge the earth, for all nations belong to you.
