Holman Christian Standard BibleEnglish Standard Version
A psalm of Asaph. God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods:" 1God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 2“How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. 3Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked." 4Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. 5They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I said, "You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. 6I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler." 7nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”
Rise up, God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to You. 8Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!
