The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1The LORD spoke to Moses:
“Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly.2"Command the Israelites to bring to you pure oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.
Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening to morning before the LORD regularly. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.3Outside the veil-canopy of the congregation in the Meeting Tent Aaron must arrange it from evening until morning before the LORD continually. This is a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
He shall arrange the lamps on the lampstand of pure gold before the LORD regularly.4On the ceremonially pure lampstand he must arrange the lamps before the LORD continually.
“You shall take fine flour and bake twelve loaves from it; two tenths of an ephah shall be in each loaf.5"You must take choice wheat flour and bake twelve loaves; there must be two tenths of an ephah of flour in each loaf,
And you shall set them in two piles, six in a pile, on the table of pure gold before the LORD.6and you must set them in two rows, six in a row, on the ceremonially pure table before the LORD.
And you shall put pure frankincense on each pile, that it may go with the bread as a memorial portion as a food offering to the LORD.7You must put pure frankincense on each row, and it will become a memorial portion for the bread, a gift to the LORD.
Every Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the LORD regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever.8Each Sabbath day Aaron must arrange it before the LORD continually; this portion is from the Israelites as a perpetual covenant.
And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, since it is for him a most holy portion out of the LORD’s food offerings, a perpetual due.”9It will belong to Aaron and his sons, and they must eat it in a holy place because it is most holy to him, a perpetual allotted portion from the gifts of the LORD."
Now an Israelite woman’s son, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the people of Israel. And the Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel fought in the camp,10Now an Israelite woman's son whose father was an Egyptian went out among the Israelites, and the Israelite woman's son and an Israelite man had a fight in the camp.
and the Israelite woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. Then they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.11The Israelite woman's son misused the Name and cursed, so they brought him to Moses. (Now his mother's name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)
And they put him in custody, till the will of the LORD should be clear to them.12So they placed him in custody until they were able to make a clear legal decision for themselves based on words from the mouth of the LORD.
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,13Then the LORD spoke to Moses:
“Bring out of the camp the one who cursed, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.14"Bring the one who cursed outside the camp, and all who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the whole congregation is to stone him to death.
And speak to the people of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.15Moreover, you are to tell the Israelites, 'If any man curses his God he will bear responsibility for his sin,
Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.16and one who misuses the name of the LORD must surely be put to death. The whole congregation must surely stone him, whether he is a foreigner or a native citizen; when he misuses the Name he must be put to death.
“Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.17"'If a man beats any person to death, he must be put to death.
Whoever takes an animal’s life shall make it good, life for life.18One who beats an animal to death must make restitution for it, life for life.
If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him,19If a man inflicts an injury on his fellow citizen, just as he has done it must be done to him--
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him.20fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth--just as he inflicts an injury on another person that same injury must be inflicted on him.
Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, and whoever kills a person shall be put to death.21One who beats an animal to death must make restitution for it, but one who beats a person to death must be put to death.
You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the LORD your God.”22There will be one regulation for you, whether a foreigner or a native citizen, for I am the LORD your God.'"
So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and they brought out of the camp the one who had cursed and stoned him with stones. Thus the people of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.23Then Moses spoke to the Israelites and they brought the one who cursed outside the camp and stoned him with stones. So the Israelites did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
