| 3He renews my life; he leads me along the right paths for his name's sake. | 3He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. |
| 4Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff--they comfort me. | 4Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. |
