| 4Their message has gone out to the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun. | 4Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth; its words carry to the distant horizon. In the sky he has pitched a tent for the sun. |
| 5It is like a bridegroom coming from his home; it rejoices like an athlete running a course. | 5Like a bridegroom it emerges from its chamber; like a strong man it enjoys running its course. |

| 9The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are reliable and altogether righteous. | 9The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just. |
| 10They are more desirable than gold--than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb. | 10They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb. |
| 11In addition, your servant is warned by them, and in keeping them there is an abundant reward. | 11Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward. |
| 12Who perceives his unintentional sins? Cleanse me from my hidden faults. | 12Who can know all his errors? Please do not punish me for sins I am unaware of. |
