1Ascribe to •Yahweh, you heavenly beings,a

ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

2Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due His name;

worship Yahweh

in the splendor of His holiness.b, c

3The voice of the LORD is above the waters.

The God of glory thunders —

the LORD, above vast waters,d

4the voice of the LORD in power,

the voice of the LORD in splendor.e

5The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;

the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.f

6He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,g

and Sirion,h like a young wild ox.i

7The voice of the LORD flashes flames of fire.j

8The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness;

the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.k

9The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birthl, m

and strips the woodlands bare.n

In His temple all cry, “Glory! ”

10The LORD sat enthroned at the flood;

the LORD sits enthroned, King forever.o

11The LORD gives His people strength;p

the LORD blesses His people with peace.q
