Good News Translation
He took pride in serving the LORD and destroyed all the pagan places of worship and the symbols of the goddess Asherah in Judah.

His heart was courageous in the ways of the LORD; and furthermore he removed the high places and the sacred poles from Judah.

he remained completely faithful to the LORD. He destroyed all the local shrines in Judah, including the places where the goddess Asherah was worshiped.
