It is considered the inspired and authoritative Word of God, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 : "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work."

1. The Nature of God: Central to the theological foundation is the understanding of God as revealed in Scripture. God is described as one in essence but existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
