Holy Spirit

Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to His disciples, saying, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you" (John 14:26).

Angelic Spirits

Hebrews 1:14 states, "Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" . In Mark 1:34, it is recorded, "And He healed many who were ill with various diseases and drove out many demons. But He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was" .

Human Spirit

The human spirit is the immaterial part of a person, distinct from the body and soul. It is the aspect of humanity that connects with God and is capable of worship, prayer, and receiving divine revelation. The Bible emphasizes the importance of a renewed and regenerated spirit through faith in Christ. In Ezekiel 36:26, God promises, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh" .

Testing the Spirits

Spirit of God

In Genesis 1:2, the Spirit of God is described as "hovering over the surface of the waters" , indicating His role in creation.

Spirit of Man

The spirit of man refers to the inner life and consciousness of a person. It is the seat of emotions, thoughts, and will. Proverbs 20:27 states, "The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, searching out his inmost being" , highlighting the introspective and discerning nature of the human spirit.
