Rebellion, in a biblical context, is the act of resisting or defying authority, particularly the authority of God. It is considered a grave sin as it challenges the divine order established by God. Rebellion is often associated with pride, disobedience, and a refusal to submit to God's will.

Biblical Instances:

1. Lucifer's Rebellion:
The first act of rebellion recorded in Scripture is that of Lucifer, who sought to exalt himself above God. Isaiah 14:13-14 describes this rebellion: "You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the far reaches of the north. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'"

2. The Fall of Man:
