Preparation

The concept of preparation is evident throughout Scripture, where individuals and communities are called to prepare for various events, challenges, and divine encounters.

1. Spiritual Preparation: Spiritual readiness is emphasized in the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. In the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13), Jesus illustrates the necessity of being prepared for His return. The wise virgins, who brought extra oil for their lamps, are contrasted with the foolish ones who did not. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15). This defense is to be conducted with gentleness and respect, reflecting the character of Christ.

2. Spiritual Armor: Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, describes the spiritual armor necessary for defense against spiritual warfare.
