Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and attentiveness is better than the fat of rams." This passage indicates that God's approval is not based on ritualistic practices but on genuine obedience to His commands.

The life of Noah is an example of receiving God's approval through righteousness. Genesis 6:8-9 states, "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God."
