Living in rest, from a biblical perspective, refers to a state of spiritual peace and contentment that believers are called to experience through faith in God. Biblical Foundation

The concept of rest is deeply rooted in Scripture, beginning with the creation narrative. In Genesis 2:2-3 , it is recorded, "By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished." Sabbath Rest

The Rest of Faith

Eternal Rest

Revelation 14:13 declares, "And I heard a voice from heaven telling me to write, 'Blessed are the dead—those who die in the Lord from this moment on.' 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'they will rest from their labors, for their deeds will follow them.'" This eternal rest is the culmination of a life lived in faith, where believers will enjoy everlasting peace in the presence of God.

Living in rest involves a daily surrender to God's sovereignty and a commitment to trust in His provision and timing. It requires believers to cultivate a lifestyle of prayer, meditation on Scripture, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.
