Blessing

Genesis 12:2 records God's promise to Abraham: "I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing."

The Aaronic blessing, found in Numbers 6:24-26, is a well-known example of a priestly blessing: "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace."
