The consequences are immediate: they are expelled from the garden, and death enters the human experience. Genesis 3:23-24 states, "So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life."

2. The Flood (Genesis 6-7): Humanity's wickedness prompts God to bring a flood upon the earth, sparing only Noah and his family. Their deception results in immediate judgment as both fall dead at the apostles' feet. Acts 5:3-5 recounts, "Then Peter said, 'Ananias, how is it that Satan has filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and withhold some of the proceeds from the sale of the land? Did it not belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How could you conceive such a deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God!' On hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. And great fear came over all who heard what had happened."

2. Herod Agrippa I (Acts 12): King Herod Agrippa I, after accepting praise as a god, is struck down by an angel of the Lord. Acts 12:23 describes the event: "Immediately, because Herod did not give glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died."
