Broken Bondage 1A song of chanting to the sons of Korah. Great is Jehovah, and greatly praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain. 2Fair of elevation, the joy of all the earth, is mount Zion, the sides of the north, the city of the great King. 3God being known in her fortresses for a height. 4For behold, the kings met together, they passed by together. 5They saw, so they were astonished; they trembled, they took flight. 6Trembling seized them there, pain as of her bringing forth. 7With an east wind thou wilt break the ships of Tarshish. 8As we heard, so we saw in the city of Jehovah of armies, in the city of our God: God will prepare it even forever. Silence. 9We thought, O God, of thy mercy in the midst of thy temple. 10According to thy name, O God, so thy praise upon the ends of the earth: thy right hand being full of justice. 11Mount Zion shall rejoice, the daughters of Judah shall be glad for sake of thy judgments. 12Surround ye Zion, and go round about her: recount her towers. 13Set your hearts to her fortification; divide up her palaces, so that ye shall recount to the later generation. 14For this God is our God forever and ever: he will guide us to death.
