16 Do you? not know that to whom you? present yourselves as slaves for obedience, you? are slaves to the one whom you? obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that you? used to be slaves of sin, but you? obeyed from the heart the form of teaching to which you? were delivered up. 18 Now having been set free from sin, you? became slaves to righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your? flesh. For just as you? presented your? members as slaves to uncleanness and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now present your? members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification. 20 For when you? were slaves of sin, you? were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit, therefore, were you? having then in the things of which you? are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now, having been set free from sin and having become slaves to God, you? have your? fruit unto sanctification, and the end is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
