Psalms 29:3-9 ▼

3 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.

4 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

5 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon (whiteness).

6 He makes Lebanon (whiteness) skip like a calf, and Sirion (Mount Hermon) like a young wild ox.

7 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} strikes with flames of fire.

8 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh (holy).

9 The voice of the LORD {YHWH} twists the oaks (LORD makes the deer to calve) and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
