In the coming near of the wicked against me, for the eating of my flesh, my adversaries and my enemies to me, they stumble and fall.

Though a host may encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war should rise up against me, in this I will keep my trust.

One thing I have asked from YHWH—it do I seek—that I may dwell in the house of YHWH all the days of my life, to look on the beauty of YHWH, and to inquire in His temple.

For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of evil; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; upon a rock He will set me high.

And now my head will be held high over my enemies all around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices of shouting; I will sing and make music to YHWH.

Hear, O YHWH, my voice when I call, and be merciful to me and answer me.

You have said to my heart “Seek My face.” Your face, O YHWH, I will seek.

Do not hide Your face from me; do not stretch Your servant away in anger! You have been my help—do not leave me and do not forsake me, O God of my salvation.

Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet YHWH will gather me in.

Teach me Your way, O YHWH, and lead me on a level path, on account of my enemies.

Do not give me up to the desires of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.

Still I believed to look on the goodness of YHWH in the land of the living.

Wait for YHWH; be strong and let your heart be courageous. And wait for YHWH!
